Your First Visit

If you're a first-time visitor at Muscle Works Inc., you'll need to give us some information about your background, medical history and the nature of your condition. This is so that we can provide the best possible care, tailored to your specific circumstances.

Feel free to print and fill these out ahead of time and bring with you to your visit.

 

Consultation
During your first consultation with the doctor, you'll discuss any health-related issues and concerns. You will also learn about potential treatment options. Now is the time to ask any questions you have in regards to your health so be sure to write down some questions you may have for the doctor.

 

History and examination
In order to pinpoint the problem, the doctor will ask you a number of questions related to your condition. A variety of targeted tests will be performed to determine which tissues are affected and to what extent.

 

X-Rays
Your specific condition may require us to take x-rays to either rule out more serious conditions or assist us in assessing the most effective treatment plan for you. A referral can be given and before you leave, we can assist with seeting up an appointment for your easiest convienence.

 

Same-day treatment
Patients will generally undergo their first treatment on their first visit after the examination and x-rays are completed. This may include spinal adjustments and physical therapy.

 

Home instructions
Before leaving, you will be given instructions on certain activities or procedures to be conducted at home. This may include ice or heat applications, avoidance of certain activities or positions, as well as home exercises.

 

Scheduling the next appointment

Regular treatment is essential to the process of self healing. We work our treatments around your schedule. Generally speaking, patients are seen within 1-2 days of their initial visit and are provided with a complete review of findings. Treatment options for your condition will also be discussed at this time.
